Welcome to airwazeavionics.com. This site is dedicated to exploring the technology and theory of operation of aviation electronics systems and flight instruments. In short, if you’re interested in how avionics systems work, you’ve come to the right place.

As a former US Navy avionics technician, an electrical engineer, and a flight instructor, I have a full spectrum of experience with aviation electronics. By drawing from this experience, my goal is to provide detailed yet understandable descriptions of how things work under the hood of the avionics in your aircraft.

In addition to commercially manufactured avionics systems, you’ll also find a section dedicated to DIY avionics projects. Of course, these are meant to be informative and educational but shouldn’t be relied upon for actual flight data or navigation.

Use the menus at the top and side of the page to navigate through the different systems and instruments explained on the site. I will be adding new content regularly so if what you’re looking for isnt yet posted, please check back. Also, If you have a request for a specific topic to be covered, you can provide that information to me on the “Contact Me” page.

Thanks!
